There are times when a tree is in the way of new construction or an addition to a home. Tree trimming may be enough to allow work near the tree, but in some situations, the only remedy is to have a tree removal company take the tree out for you.
When you are getting ready to build on a lot or add onto the existing building already in place, it is a good idea to have a survey done of the lot that can help determine any obstacles and property lines that you need to be aware of.
A tree standing in the spot where the addition is being built is a problem, and moving the building is a lot more trouble than just removing the tree. You may not have the space on the property to adjust the addition or new building, even if it was practical, but the survey can help highlight the problem for you before the construction begins.
Working with a tree removal service to take down the trees that are in the way will ensure that they are taken down carefully, so nothing gets damaged, and no one gets hurt in the process. When you are looking for a tree removal service, it is essential that you find a company that can also remove the tree stumps for you so you can fill the hole and build over the area without the concern of roots or chutes growing out of the stump and damaging the new construction.
Depending on the size of the trees being removed, the tree removal service may bring a crane to the job and lift the trees out of the way once they are cut. This method allows the tree to be supported as cut, then lifted over obstacles like power lines, houses or other structures, or other trees.
All of the limbs that are cut from the trees being removed will be run through a wood chipper, and the material is hauled away by the company. The larger logs that come from the tree are often left for the property owner, but in some cases, the tree removal service will haul them away if you ask them to.
Once the tree is down, the stump grinder is brought in, and a large rotating plate is used to shred the stump into small chips. The chips can be mixed into the soil with some fill material and will rot eventually.
If the tree removal service you are working with does not offer stump grinding, there are services that specialize in it that you can hire to remove the stumps for you after the tree service has completed the tree removal and is clear of the site.Share

When I was in college, I lived in an old house just south of the university campus with five other girls. When we came back from Christmas break, the heater was broken. The beginning of January was the coldest time of the year, and because it was the weekend, the heating company couldn't come fix it for a few days. My roommates and I pulled our mattresses into the front room and slept all together to keep warm. Two weeks later, our heater broke again! That time we ended up getting a completely new furnace. Needless to say, we got to be good friends with the heating contractor that month, and it was a good experience that led to the creation of this blog.
